1) PUTRAJAYA FORUM 2012
Defence and Security Forum for Peace organised by MiDAS, The Malaysian Institute of Defence and Security.

 

2) CHIEFS OF ARMY ROUNDTABLE TALKS
There will be Chiefs of Army Roundtable Talks entitled “The Role of Army in Nation Building in the New Security Environment: Opportunities and Challenges”.

 

3) BATTLEFIELD HEALTHCARE
DSA was the first show in the world to have an exclusive feature on the Battlefield Healthcare sector. After two successful showings alongside DSA, this sector has become a vital sector whereby several Surgeon Generals from 18 nations visited DSA 2010. The theme for 2012 will be formulated based on the region’s current issues and pressing needs.

a) CBRNe Forum themed “Humanitarian & Disaster Relief Operations in Asia”.
b) POX Outbreak Tabletop Exercise exclusively for Chiefs of Defence Force & Surgeon Generals.

4) POLICE & NATIONAL SECURITY FEATURES
This exclusive sector which has always been part of the DSA series will once again have a hall for companies who want to focus specifically on Police and National Security.

5) CONTRACTS & MOU SIGNING – RM25 BILLION
At DSA 2010, the Malaysian Ministry of Defence signed and announced a total of 8 contracts / 4 LOIs / 3 LOAs totalling RM10.4 billion and witnessed 5 MOUs totalling approx. RM15 billion on 20 April 2010. The Government of Malaysia is expected to conduct a similar feature at DSA 2012.

6) DEFENCE PROCUREMENT CENTRE
Defence procurement procedures from the following 9 countries were made available at DSA 2010: Malaysia, Brunei, Pakistan, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, South Korea, Philippines, Cambodia. A similar feature will again be available during DSA 2012.

 

7) BUSINESS TO BUSINESS MEETINGS
Exhibitor will get the opportunity to participate in Business to Business (B2B) Meetings during DSA 2012 at a specially designated area.

 

8) ASEAN DEFENCE INDUSTRY COLLABORATION (ADIC) WORKSHOP
A one-day workshop on ASEAN Defence Industry Collaboration is set for 18 April 2012. This workshop will gather relevant ASEAN industries players with a view of promoting defence industry growth within ASEAN countries.
