Strong CTS and Escalade Help Boost Cadillac U.S. Sales – Feb 05, 2015– Detroit, USA (Techreleased) – Cadillac U.S. sales grew 2.6 percent in January as the brand’s average transaction prices reached an all-time high. Globally Cadillac sold 18,043 vehicles worldwide last month, a 1 percent decrease from the year prior.
Last month in the US market, the average transaction price for a Cadillac topped $52,000 for the first time, an increase of more than $8,000 from the same period a year ago.
In the U.S., CTS total sales climbed 35 percent year over year in January, while total Escalade sales soared by 149 percent year over year. Total XTS luxury sedan sales improved by 14 percent.
The Escalade also helped to bolster Cadillac sales in Canada and the Middle East, which were up 22 percent and 26.5 percent year over year, respectively.
“Cadillac continues its elevation to a higher position in the premium sector,” said President Johan de Nysschen. “As we continue into 2015, the brand will advance further globally with the introduction of important models such as the high-performance V-Series models and an all-new top-of-the-range car, the CT6.”
In China, sales of the ATS product line more than doubled year over year, to more than 1,800 units.
