Aug 08, 2012–Tustin,USA (Techreleased) –To offer healthcare providers advanced MR imaging technology supported through ongoing training and education, Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc. has opened the Toshiba MR Research Center in Irvine, Calif. A $3 million investment for the company, the education and research facility will be a catalyst for advancing customer training and industry-leading research.
“The goal of the Toshiba MR Research Center is two-fold: to fuel research with our customer partners in order to advance MR imaging, and to offer customers an exceptional, hands-on training experience,” said Stuart Clarkson, director, MR Business Unit, Toshiba. “Toshiba’s investment in the MR Research Center illustrates its commitment to helping customers maximize their MR systems as well as Toshiba’s mission to be leaders in innovation.”
Toshiba’s MR Research Center allows domestic and international customers to use the latest Toshiba MR systems, including the Vantage TitanTM 3T wide-bore MR and various Vantage Titan 1.5T MR system configurations. Toshiba will rotate and upgrade technology annually to offer the most current MR systems and software. The training experience is tailored to meet specific customer needs, allowing customers to test the protocols most often used and learn new imaging techniques. The MR Research Center also provides potential customers the opportunity to experience the Toshiba technology configurations that they are considering for purchase.
