Synology Announces Polkast Package for its DiskStation – Dec 19, 2013– Taipei, Taiwan (Techreleased) – Synology introduced the Polkastsm package, a 3rd party application to provide customers with file access and sharing capabilities on select Synology NAS devices. The Polkast package is developed by Polkast, LLC.
Installed with Polkast, a Synology DiskStation can work as a private cloud to provide cost-effective file accessing and sharing solutions. Users can centralize data on their Synology servers, and get instant access to all of that data from anywhere via PC and mobile devices in an intuitive interface. Polkast is designed with security in mind, as all files and personal preferences are not stored or replicated within it. “We are happy to collaborate with Polkast to bring such an amazing package onto our DiskStation platform. It’s not only more secure, but also more cost-effective than other public cloud solutions,” said Andy Yu, product manager of Synology Inc.
