The JT-B1 is designed to be more durable and rugged than consumer-grade tablets, and offers professionals in the field a number of unique security, functionality and reliability features, including a 7-inch daylight-readable touch screen, sealed all-weather design, and a security processor to protect confidential data. The Toughpad JT-B1 will be available through authorised Panasonic Toughbook distributors and resellers from late September 2013.

Jason Lee, Toughbook Product Marketing Manager, Panasonic Australia said: ““The JT-B1 has been developed in response to the needs of mobile workers in industries such as logistics and warehousing, hospitality, and retail merchandising. They are looking for a tablet device that fits seamlessly into their workflow; and provides access to mission-critical data, anywhere, at any time.

“Panasonic rugged computers are an industry benchmark when it comes to toughness and dependability. Combined with 3G broadband connectivity, the JT-B1 will offer customers quick access to applications and data to significantly improve field workers’ ability to make critical decisions which enhance customer service, service delivery and response times.”
