July 19, 2012–Mclean,USA (Techreleased) – Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) has received an award for the Chief Information Officer – Solutions and Partners 3 (CIO-SP3) contract from the National Institutes of Health Information Technology Acquisition and Assessment Center (NITAAC). CIO-SP3 is a 10-year, multiple-award, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (ID/IQ) governmentwide acquisition contract. Northrop Grumman is one of 54 companies named to the contract, which has a cumulative value of $20 billion.

CIO-SP3, which is follow-on to the CIO-SP2i contract awarded in 2002, is designed to provide the National Institutes of Health, the Department of Health and Human Services and all other federal agencies with a streamlined ordering process to acquire a wide range of information technology (IT) services and solutions to satisfy new and emerging IT requirements quickly and efficiently. The IT services in the CIO-SP3 contract include health, health science, biomedical-related and general IT services to meet scientific, health, administrative, operational, and managerial and information management requirements.

Under the new contract, Northrop Grumman will provide the full scope of IT services, products and solutions across federal IT programs worldwide, including support of the federal enterprise architecture, the federal health architecture and the Department of Defense enterprise architecture.
