Nissan and Suzuki reach Agreement with Suzuki on Mini Commercial Vehicles OEM Supply in Japan – Aug 29, 2013– Yokohama, Japan (Techreleased) – Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. today announced it has reached a basic agreement with Suzuki Motor Corporation regarding original equipment manufacturer (OEM) supply of mini commercial vehicles (van and truck types) and a wagon-type minicar.
The OEM supply is scheduled to start around the end of 2013. A formal contract will be concluded in the future that will determine specifics including the supply timing.
Nissan currently has an OEM supply contract of mini commercial vehicles (van and truck types) with Mitsubishi Motors Corporation. Based on the agreement signed today, these vehicles will now be supplied from Suzuki.
Nissan continues to strengthen its minicar business including mini commercial vehicles.
