Mitsubishi Fuso and Nissan Agree on Van OEM Supply for Export – Sep 11, 2013– Yokohama, Japan (Techreleased) – Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC) and Nissan Motor Co., Ltd today reached a basic agreement regarding original equipment manufacturer (OEM) supply of finished commercial vans for export. The agreement is based on the strategic partnership between Daimler AG and Renault-Nissan Alliance announced on April 7, 2010.

The basic OEM supply agreement is as follows:

  • Nissan to supply the “NV350 Urvan” to Mitsubishi Fuso.

A formal contract will be concluded in the future that will determine specifics of the OEM supply timing and volumes.

Mitsubishi Fuso and Nissan is already running a strategic OEM supply which include, Mitsubishi Fuso’s supply of Canter light-duty truck (payload: 2.0 tons) to Nissan, and Nissan’s supply of Atlas F24 light-duty truck (payload 1.5 tons) to Mitsubishi Fuso.

We will be starting the sale of commercial vans first time in our history, and for FUSO, this will not only mean an expansion of our already robust global product portfolio, but is also a sign of our commitment to continually enhance our business solutions for our customers.”

Mr. Toshiyuki Shiga, Nissan Chief Operating Officer, said: “We are delighted that we will be able to supply NV350 in addition to reciprocal OEM supply of Atlas F24 and Canter that is going on track. We hope this will lead to improved production efficiency in Japan.”
