inexio and Axians Deploy ADVA 100G Metro for Rapid Regional Bandwidth Growth – Dec 05, 2013– Munich, Germany (Techreleased) – ADVA Optical Networking announced today that inexio has deployed the ADVA 100G Metro for regional connectivity in Germany and Luxembourg. Operating one of Europe’s fastest growing networks, inexio is harnessing the ADVA 100G Metro to respond to significant bandwidth growth from both its enterprise and residential customers. A long-standing customer of ADVA Optical Networking and Axians, inexio has benefited from the native scalability of the ADVA FSP 3000, gradually expanding its network infrastructure with customer demand. With over 5,000km of fiber, inexio will be making further 100G deployments in 2014. The ADVA 100G Metro was installed by ADVA Optical Networking Elite partner Axians.

ADVA Optical Networking“We’re a company that believes in technology, that believes in trust, that believes in providing customers with the best experience possible,” said David Zimmer, managing director, inexio. “That’s why we’ve developed such a long-term relationship with the team at ADVA Optical Networking and their partner Axians. They share our focus, our passion. Together we’ve built an incredibly responsive network, one that continues to meet the expectations of all our customers, whether they’re enterprises seeking robust business continuity solutions or residents seeking the latest high-bandwidth connections – we provide everything they need. The ADVA 100G Metro is key to this and ensures that we have access to all the bandwidth we could want.”

Since its release in 2011, the ADVA 100G Metro has built a strong reputation within the industry, enabling service providers and enterprises to deploy 100G technology without the associated costs of alternative coherent solutions. Built on 4x28G direct detection technology, the ADVA 100G Metro delivers four key efficiencies: cost, space, power and spectral. These efficiencies were central to inexio’s selection and deployment of the ADVA 100G Metro. Fully integrated into the ADVA FSP 3000, the direct detection technology can now transport data across distances in excess of 1,000km – something that was previously only possible with coherent equipment.

“Our focus isn’t purely on technology, it isn’t purely on networks. Our focus is on our customers, on helping them to be the best they can be,” commented Hartmut Müller-Leitloff, vice president, Sales Central Europe, ADVA Optical Networking. “That’s why we developed our 100G Metro technology. It was a direct response to our customers who wanted to deploy a different kind of 100G technology, one that didn’t exist anywhere on the market. We listen and we act. That’s why inexio has been a customer for over five years. That’s why our partner Axians further strengthened their commitment and became an Elite member of our Partner Ecosphere Program. They value our focus on customers. They value our focus on helping them to achieve their goals and meet their own customers’ expectations. This is where our team excels, on pushing boundaries, on developing technology that always delights.”

“inexio is a company with incredible ambition. An ambition that is matched only by its commitment to its customers, a commitment to exceed all expectations,” said Detlev Schmidt, managing director and head of business unit, Carrier & Service Providers, Axians. “Our team is intent on helping inexio strive to achieve these ambitions. With the ADVA 100G Metro, inexio is taking the next step in the evolution of its network. As it continues to expand its customer base with even more enterprises and even more residential communities, it needs a network that can scale to meet increasing bandwidth demand. This is what the ADVA 100G Metro was built for. And with Axians, inexio can rely on a service partner with great practical experience of this technology, successfully implemented in other networks. With Axians as a trusted partner to reliably support the design and implementation and with the ADVA 100G Metro, there is no bandwidth ceiling, no bandwidth limitations, no customer disappointment. It’s the 100G technology you always imagined.” – See more at:
