“With the introduction of the new ES pumps, we are able to bring comprehensive packaged solutions to Touch Taiwan this year. Our offerings provide cost effective, environmentally friendly benefits to any coating application.”

The ES is a flexible vacuum solution providing highly stable vacuum performance, which makes it ideal for coating applications. Thanks to the optimised oil return system, there are none of the pressure fluctuations that are often seen in single stage pumps improving product quality and giving consistent process results. The pump mechanism on the new ES pump has been refined to produce a better quality of vacuum. The pumping speed is maintained even at lower pressure, extending the operating pressure range.

The new pump is designed to be used in a wide range of industrial applications, including coating applications, heat treatment and drying. The ES can be used individually or with mechanical booster pumps to increase both performance and ultimate vacuum.

V. Rangarajan, Market Sector Manager – Industrial at Edwards, commented, “With the introduction of the new ES pumps, we are able to bring comprehensive packaged solutions to Touch Taiwan this year. Our offerings provide cost effective, environmentally friendly benefits to any coating application.”

Edwards is also highlighting its STP-iXR1606 magnetically levitated turbomolecular pump (TMP), designed to deliver significant savings for manufacturers of coating systems for display touch panels, flat panel displays and solar panels. The pump’s design maximises the allowable gas throughput while delivering high vacuum and minimises the number of pumps required for these high flow processes. The absence of mechanical bearings practically eliminates the cost of periodic maintenance.

Edwards has years of in-depth industry experience, and visitors to the booth will be able to benefit from this by discussing with application experts the pumps and systems best suited for their process requirements, whether oil sealed or dry technology. The Touch Panel and Optical Film Exhibition, 27 – 29 August, 2014 in Taipei, Taiwan, focusses on the touch panel optical film industries in Taiwan.
