Dec 04, 2012– Nanjing, China  (Techreleased) – A new shipbuilding contract was signed recently by Greek shipping company Ariston Navigation, part of the family-owned Xylas Group and Chinese state-owned shipbuilding enterprise CSC Jinling Shipyard, according to Shipping Herald maritime portal.

The word is that CSC Jinling Shipyardhas secured order for seven Handysizes Seastallion design dry bulk carriers with an option for three more vessels. The value of the contract was not disclosed.

Ariston Navigation president John Xylas said that the company has been waiting for the right moment to enter the newbuilding market and it believed the latest deal represents the right timing, Seatrade Asia reports.

The Handysizes Seastallion bulker design represents an updated version of ecofriendly design of Seahorse 35 bulk carrier.
