Dec 03, 2012– Stuttgart, Germany  (Techreleased) – The GBG 6 Professional and GBG 8 Professional are the new double-wheeled bench grinders from Bosch, two robust and compact tools for grinding and sharpening blades, chisels and drill bits, for de-burring metal profiles, and for removing rust from metal parts. These double-wheeled bench grinders are designed for professional use, and take up very little space in the workshop. Moreover, they are very low in noise and vibration thanks to their maintenance-free induction motor. Enclosed ball bearings and dust protection for switches and motor ensure a long lifetime.

Work quickly, safely and precisely
The two new models differ in power and grinding wheel diameter: the GBG 6 Professional offers 350 watts and 150-millimeter grinding wheels, while the GBG 8 Professional is even more powerful with 600 watts and offers 200-millimeter grinding wheels. Both tools have a robust die-cast aluminum housing; and rubber feet add stability and reduce vibration. The machines can also be permanently fixed to a workbench with four screws. Large spark guards, which can be individually adjusted, are effective at protecting the professional tradesperson against flying sparks during grinding. Two tool-free adjustable work-piece rests fitted in front of the grinding wheels help the user to work precisely.

The double-wheeled bench grinders will be available at specialist retail outlets from January 2012 onwards for 139 and 219 euros plus VAT. Each grinder is supplied in a carton with a 24 grit grinding wheel and a 60 grit grinding wheel.
