Jan 21, 2013– Detroit, USA (Techreleased) – Auto industry leaders greet the freshened 2014 Grand Cherokee SRT in the Motor City. Once a year, the automotive world converges on the spiritual home of the automobile to celebrate car manufacturers’ latest and most creative creations. This year, on the banks of the glittering Detroit River, the spotlight shined on SRT®.
Located mere miles from SRT’s Jefferson North and Conner Avenue assembly plants, the glinting spotlights of Cobo Center provide warm shelter from Detroit’s crisp January air. Amid intricate displays from the world’s most prestigious auto brands stood SRT, ready with a freshly honed 2014 Grand Cherokee SRT.
As SRT executives Ralph Gilles and Beth Paretta addressed international media, analysts and colleagues, the passion of the SRT owner community was first-in-mind. Powertrain, styling and packaging changes in the 2014 Grand Cherokee SRT are community-driven responses to customer desires. To prove this, a team of SRT engineers sat down to answer questions from fans in a live webcast held on the North American International Auto Show floor.
After the webcast, driveSRT’s Instagram fans enjoyed an early look at the freshly introduced Sepia Laguna leather interior treatments available in the 2014 Grand Cherokee SRT, as well as the 2013 Charger SRT and 300 SRT. The ultra-premium grade of leather used inside these vehicles is so flawless – untouched by insect bites or barbed wire – that no artificial grain embossing is applied. The resulting surface is unblemished, soft to the hand and smooth to the touch.
Fans will have a chance to see the full line of SRT vehicles up-close throughout the auto show, which opens to the public on January 19, 2013. The show closes on January 27.
