Acer Altos Servers and Veriton Workstations Support New Intel® Xeon® E5-2600 v2 Series Processors – Sep 12, 2013– Taipei, Taiwan (Techreleased) – Acer announces the support for the latest Intel® Xeon® E5-2600 v2 series processor across its line of high performance Altos servers and Veriton Workstations starting September 2013. With up to 50% more cores per processor, lower thermal design power (TDP), and improved clock speeds, the new line of Intel® Xeon® E5-2600 v2 processors offers extraordinary performance for companies and researchers alike.

This year’s newly announced Veriton P330 F2 and P530 F2 workstations will also support the next generation Intel® Xeon® E5-2600 v2 series processors for amazing computing performance, and power up to 24 cores and up to two GPUs in a single, library-quiet design. Paired with already strong 3D rendering capabilities, the Veriton workstations offer balanced performance so designers can enjoy smooth visuals as well as quick response for simulation, rendering and engineering.
