Toyota Adds Features And Value To V6 Aurion – June 06, 2016– Aichi, Japan (Techreleased) – Toyota has expanded the appeal of its V6 Aurion range, introducing desirable premium features to the entry-level AT-X and mid-range Sportivo.
The convenience of satellite navigation* with real-time traffic updates, premium 10-speaker JBL sound system, digital (DAB+) radio#, expanded Toyota Link connected mobility^, seven-inch touch-screen monitor and a rear-window power sunshade are now standard on Sportivo and optional on AT-X.
Aurion Sportivo also gains substantial further standard equipment including sports leather-accented seats, blind spot monitor, rear cross-traffic alert, auto-levelling LED headlamps, LED foglamps and a power-operated driver’s seat with two memory positions.
Cosmetic enhancements for Sportivo include newly designed aggressive black 18-inch alloy wheels and an exclusive new exterior paint colour, Cherry.
Sportivo’s extensive array of in-demand new equipment enhances the value of the sporty sedan as they are worth substantially more than the $3,000 added to the overall price.
Standard AT-X features have also been improved – at no extra cost. It is now shod with 10-spoke 17-inch alloy wheels and 215/55R17 tyres, including the spare wheel, replacing the 16-inch alloys and steel spare previously offered.
AT-X also gains a premium four-spoke steering wheel and gear-shift lever while all Aurion models are now fitted with rear-seat ISOFIX attachment points for child safety seats.
The unchanged price for Aurion AT-X starts at $36,490** while the option package for this grade is sharply priced at just $1,750.
Toyota Australia’s executive director sales and marketing Tony Cramb said the mid-year updates will be welcomed by family-car buyers seeking even better value.
“The additional equipment for AT-X and Sportivo will appeal to value-conscious buyers in this segment of the market,” Mr Cramb said.
Aurion has a powerful yet fuel-efficient 200kW 3.5-litre quad-cam V6 petrol engine, certified to Euro 5 emissions. It retains the ability to run on regular unleaded fuel.
Every Aurion is equipped with seven airbags, reversing camera, stability and traction control, anti-skid brakes and dual-zone auto air-conditioning.
Other standard features across the range include keyless entry and ignition, Optitron dials, 4.2-inch full-colour multi-information display and corner parking sensors front and rear.
At the top of the range, Aurion Presara’s unique features include lane departure alert, auto high beam, tilt-and-slide electric moonroof and auto rain-sensing wipers.
Presara buyers can also opt for the Sportivo’s 18-inch wheel-and-tyre package, including suspension and steering revisions that add to the driving appeal, for an extra $1,000. The optional rims on Presara have bright machined spokes.
