Toyota Australia’s executive director sales and marketing Tony Cramb said the mid-year updates will be welcomed by family-car buyers seeking even better value.

“The additional equipment for AT-X and Sportivo will appeal to value-conscious buyers in this segment of the market,” Mr Cramb said.

Aurion has a powerful yet fuel-efficient 200kW 3.5-litre quad-cam V6 petrol engine, certified to Euro 5 emissions. It retains the ability to run on regular unleaded fuel.

Every Aurion is equipped with seven airbags, reversing camera, stability and traction control, anti-skid brakes and dual-zone auto air-conditioning.

Presara buyers can also opt for the Sportivo’s 18-inch wheel-and-tyre package, including suspension and steering revisions that add to the driving appeal, for an extra $1,000. The optional rims on Presara have bright machined spokes.
