Rolls Royce debuts all-new Wraith in Ukraine – Nov 29, 2013– Kiev, Ukraine (Techreleased) – AWT Bavaria, the sole dealer of the manufacturer of super-luxury motor cars in Ukraine, celebrated the debut of Wraith in Ukraine yesterday. The definitive Grand Tourer was presented at a prestigious event on the shores of the Dnepr River in Kiev.
The event was attended by leading members of society and the business community in the Ukrainian capital. Speaking at the event, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars´ Chief Executive, Torsten Müller-Ötvös, said: “Wraith stands like no other motor car for power, style and drama. Inspired by grand Italian and British fastback design from the 1930s, this motor car is a step forward for Rolls-Royce. It is the perfect choice for connoisseurs seeking our famous effortless driving experience in a car with a powerful new character.”
Olexander Timofeev, General Manager of AWT Bavaria, commented: “We are delighted to welcome the latest Rolls-Royce to Ukraine. The driving characteristics of Phantom and Ghost have surprised customers over the years – and many choose to drive the car themselves rather than use a chauffeur. The new Wraith has been designed first and foremost with the driver in mind. I trust it will attract a new clientele to the brand and we are looking forward to making our first customer deliveries shortly.”
With striking fastback design, performance delivers on the promise of its bold exterior styling. 632 hp is derived from a twin-turbo V12, boasting a 0-100km/h time of 4.6 seconds. However, Wraith is every inch a refined and luxurious Rolls-Royce, with every possible comfort one would expect from the pinnacle marque.
Hallmark Rolls-Royce effortlessness is augmented with a suite of specially developed technologies – Satellite Aided Transmission, for example, processes GPS data to predict the driver’s next move, automatically selecting the correct gear for the road ahead. A one-touch call button akin to an on-board valet, allows navigation, telephone and multimedia to be controlled via voice commands.
The finest materials create an interior that cossets occupants. Canadel Panelling, named after Henry Royce’s winter home at the French Riviera, has a tactile, open grain wood that sweeps around the lower hull of Wraith’s interior. A Starlight Headliner completes the glamour, bathing the cabin in a warm glow thanks to thousands of tiny fibre-optic lamps hand-woven into the roof‑lining.
In line with traditional nomenclature ‘Wraith’ holds ethereal connotations. It depicts a force that when present, makes the world stand still. Its origins lie in Scots dialect and hints at the sense of noir that embodies the car.
Based on continued demand for Phantom and Ghost families, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars enjoys sustained success in Ukraine. This is underpinned by increasing requests on the company’s unique Bespoke programme, Rolls-Royce’s offer to commission a motor car beyond the option list to make it as unique as the fingerprint of its owner.
