With further spec details to be announced at launch, the Nissan 370Z NISMO hard-top Coupe is available with a choice of two transmission types including the silky 6-speed close-ratio manual or a 7-speed automatic (that incorporates a manual mode controlled by paddle shifters), the latter of which retails for $63,990*.

Like its GT-R NISMO sibling, the 370Z NISMO is the range-topping grade, while the current Roadster and Coupe options slot in below it.

With the introduction of the NISMO, Nissan Australia took the opportunity to re-align pricing across the entire range with the 370Z Coupe now beginning at $49,990* while the soft-top Roadster starts at $60,990*.

The updated pricing is in place permanently, offering 370Z buyers more value than ever before.

“The impending arrival of the Nissan 370Z NISMO allowed us to re-look at pricing across all variants,” said Nissan Australia managing director Richard Emery.

“The NISMO version naturally sits at the top of the Nissan 370Z range, but we wanted to maintain competitive pricing. This re-positioning offers a range of price points that will be attractive to a wider group of customers.

“We hope this will drive sportscar buyers into Nissan showrooms, giving them more choice and offering significantly more value for money.”

The Nissan 370Z is one of the world’s most dynamic sports cars thanks to its sleek profile, muscle car-inspired exhaust note from the powerful 3.7 litre engine, and race car-like performance.

Launched as the Datsun 240Z almost 50 years ago, the Z was fully redesigned in the mid-‘80s and rebadged the Nissan 300ZX before the 370Z nameplate was unveiled at the 2008 LA Auto Show.

With almost 4,200 domestic sales since its Australian debut in April 2009, the current 370Z boasts 245kW of power and 363Nm of torque, and includes Nissan’s Premium Braking System, Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), Anti-lock Braking (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA) and dual front, side and curtain airbags.

Satellite Navigation with 3D mapping and a seven-inch integrated colour touch screen, sports leather accented seats and Bluetooth is also standard.
